In case you were curious, here is the story of Kings Hat Island… Legend has it that the Swedish king was being chased on horseback over the island by a group of rebellious peasants. They came to the highest point on the island and the king had to choose either to jump off the cliff or be caught. He opted to jump off the cliff with his brave (or unfortunate) horse into Lake Mälaren and made good his escape. However his hat flew off his head and remained on top of the cliff where it is commemorated to this day by a replica of his hat mounted on a high pole.
